Ipsita at the MBI hospital: An Endicott Epidemic battle report
Level: Suicide, Solo, All characters (one by one)
(# indicates cards as they are drawn)
(#/#/#) Give the numbers to hit the zombie¡¯s location
1) Shocking Disarming (no effect): Ipsita (+1/-2) was out of breath and in shock that her commando unit would drop her into the teeth of the lion, leaving her (alone) in a park near the MBI Regional Hospital. ¡°They must be loco! My success is with comrades holding down the zeds while I re-retrieve mission objectives¡ not running down hordes by myself!¡± After a couple of minutes of steeling her resolve, she sneaks into a side door of the medical facility.
2) FAK: Ipsita grabs a med bag, knowing no one fights the undead unharmed. (First Aid Kit equipped)
3) From behind a curtain staggers out an Old Ho (1/5) and Ipsita quickly places two debilitating Jiu-jitsu kicks to take her out¡.
4) She eyes a shiny Axe over a fire hose and decides better (discards axe) upon seeing the remains of a security soldier¡
5) ¡ and his nearby Uzi (draws and equips sub machinegun). ¡°Now, that¡¯s a beauty!¡±
6) A roar like a cannon tells her she said that too loud¡. A Tanker (7/5/1/7/9/8) zombie comes pounding down the hall as Ipsita aims her new weapon: Pop, smak in the head, and the Tanker cuffs her hard, pap, pap, CUFF, pap, pap, CUFF, Ipsita rolls out of the way and heads down the hall, slamming a door behind her¡. Head swimming, she digs into the FAK (uses equipped first aid kit) and slaps a stim-needle into her left deltoid¡. Tanker crashes through the door and is met with three steely eyes¡ the third one blows him away! ¡°Hope there¡¯s no more of him around¡±, sighs a weary woman¡.
7) Ipsi grabs another FAK off the wall, ¡°Better living through chemicals, man.¡± (draws and equips first aid kit).
8) System full of adrenaline, Ipsi takes a Heroic Stand (event card drawn)¡
9) ¡ just as a tough, though Unattentive Zombie (9) stumbles toward her and gets blown away (use of heroic stand).
10) She then passes an alternative medicine and exercise room, a Kung Pow Zombie (5/4/2) springs to the attack! ¡°Sweetheart, never come unarmed to a gun fight.¡± Three quick bursts takes out the old master.
11) Ipsita uses her fak to bandage her wounds. (Recovers two health with discard of first aid kit)
12) Somewhere in the distance, a church bell rang¡. (Countdown card drawn)
13) ¡°Can¡¯t be! I must be near a psyc ward....¡±: A Pirate (8/5/2/4) dressed zombie arrrr-rives. Three delaying shots and two bullets to the head, later¡. Polly needs a new owner¡.
14) ¡°Never have enough of these!¡± Another fak card is drawn and equipped into her knapsack¡.
15) Ugh!, what¡¯s that smell? Pork Roast (4/1) charges out of the cafeteria and takes a head shot for his troubles¡.
16) And, somewhere, the bell rings again (2nd countdown card drawn)
17) And, here comes Cool Aid (4/1)¡ and here comes another head shot!
18) Time Flies By (Event card drawn) and the bell rings again (3rd countdown card drawn) ¡°Have I lost time to the meds?!¡± Just then the lights failed (Blackout on the second draw) and Ipsita trips over Cool Aid and hits her head on a table (takes one hit).
19) When the generators kick in, she is faced with a Tacky Coat (3/5/3) zombie¡ the zed is three bursts and dead¡.
20) ...Falling out of the way and a Furry (1/5) zombie is behind him. One shot to the head and he¡¯s dead!
21) ¡°Ipsita, Chiquita!¡±, the radio squawks from her knapsack, ¡°we¡¯re waiting to extract you from the roof!¡± (Cure Card drawn: The Escape Route)
22) She turns and faces a familiar uniform, ¡°Officer can you¡ oh, sheet!¡± The ¡°officer¡± is a Biker (1/1/2) zombie and catches a quick staccato from the smg before landing a raking scratch across Ipsi¡¯s face. In reply she yanks the gun up into his guts and finishes the zed.
23) ¡°Another zombie, another med kit¡ this is getting old!¡± (uses fak to heal 2 health).
24) Ducking into a stairwell, she runs right into Mo¡¯Hawk (1/5/3) and the scare-hair runs into the muzzle of the still smoking uzi!
25) Forced back into the hall, a Syko Sicko (9/7/9/7/1) zed grabs at her¡. Three quick shots later and he¡¯s still coming¡ slashing Ipsi twice¡ taking another shot and then smashing her head against the wall¡. Precious seconds later, in response to who knows what, Ipsita regains conciousness (respawns) and manages to grab her trusty weapon to gun down the sicko¡.
26) *squawk* Ipsita!... Landing zone compromised¡ we must take off and clear the landing pad¡. We¡¯ll contact you when able¡. (Alarming Complications drawn)
27) Desperation can surely galvanize a soldier. A Skank (1/2) goes down to a head shot as well as¡
28) ¡ a Sassy (1/4/1) zed¡.
29) Another ward and another fak found (fak drawn and equipped)
30) Is she getting closer to her mission objective? A Mutant (1/2/1/2/2/2) zombie lumbers forward: shots to the body/body/head and he¡¯s upon her, hitting hard! Recoiling she¡¯s gets the final three shots in to finish this abomination¡.
31) Speaking of abominations: a headless Joe (3/3/3) provides no competition to the barking smg.
32) Feeling a little weak, Ipsi opens the fak for more stimulants (discard fak for 1 health).
33) ¡°Ipsi, Ipsi, we¡¯re back on the pad¡± (The Escape Route Cure Card is redrawn)
34) She tries the stairwell to the top floor, again, and runs into (well, over) Ralph (4/5) after he takes a blast to the head!
35) Bursting into the top floor, Ipsi faces an overdressed, once executive type, female of the MBI cum zed: Cougar (7/7/7/1). The dead dame screeches and lurches forward, landing one good blow amongst two body shots and a finalizing two head hits¡.
36) ¡°You look like Hades in Winter¡ can I assume you¡¯re from the extraction team?¡± A hooded figure appears from an office door. ¡°Yeah, Senor Hermit, and you look like Strider¡.¡± (The Hermit, Cure Card, is drawn)
37) ¡°Whatever, let me get the hard drive and let¡¯s fly away together, ok?¡± (The Critical Intel, Cure Card is drawn). The chopper takes them away and Ipsita wins all by herself!
